Watch This French Trials Rider Cruise An Entire Roller Coaster Track – Wild Stuff

One of the interesting differences between the United States and Europe is the popularity of our motorsports. One of the most popular genres of the two wheeled variety of competition over there is trials riding. You’ve likely seen it in one form or another. This is where various obstacles and traps are placed in a course format and riders have to leap, balance, or precisely tread over them in as short a time as possible without wiping out of taking shortcuts. The motorcycles are light and powerful. The riders used are light and powerful, so you get where we are going here.

Enter Red Bull who has so much money they are constantly looking at ways that they can get rid of it with competitions, stunts, and other wacky publicity gaining ventures. Someone approached them with the idea of sending a rider to literally ride the entire course of this massive wooden roller coaster on a trials bike. Frenchman Julien Dupont was the guy who accepted the challenge (or the advice from his agent) to complete the task. The coaster chosen was the Montaña Rusa at La Feria de Chapultepec amusement park in Mexico City. This is one of the largest and longest in the world.

The ride is pretty wild, especially when you see how high up he gets, how little room he has to work with, and how flipping steep some of the hills are. This doesn’t sound all that nutty to start with but wait until you watch it!
