Wild Video: Watch A Guy Attempt The First Motorcycle Parachute Jump In 1926 – Fails and Lives

That amazing moment captured in time above requires some explanation. The rider is a guy named Fred Osborne and what he’s doing is hurtling himself off the cliff atop a motorcycle with a parachute attached to his back. Other than trying to prove that he has the balls of an elephant and the planning skills of a nine month old, we’re not sure what the point it.

The good news for Fred is that at the moment that time froze and he was blissfully unaware how rough the next few minutes, days, weeks, and hours were going to be. There are a few key elements that Osborne did not account for in his plan. The first was that his cliff was way too short. Still plenty tall enough to die falling off of but not near high enough for the parachute to work. There was the miscalculation or complete ignorance to the fact that there were telephone poles with wires where he as heading, and the last thin was that he never really got away from the massive lump of a motorcycle that was pulling him to the Earth.

The bottom line is that by some huge miracle this dude lived. You will see the video and KNOW that he is dead but he’s not. He was sure short a couple of teeth but he wasn’t dead.

This is the worst idea of all time with execution even poorer than that.
