Consider this a new one on us. We’ve seen ambulances made out of Buicks, Cadillacs, Fords, and other large vehicles but we had never seen one made from an International Travelall before today. What’s even cooler is that the Travelall is a 1964 model which means it is one of the more round versions of that vehicle made and while a 1970s era one with a square body would be cool, the curves on this one really make it. This 1964 International Travelall ambulance has New Hampshire plates on it which makes the find even more incredible because we’d have figured that road salt and/or other demons would have literally eaten this thing alive decades ago.

Powered by a 304ci IH V8 engine, backed with an automatic transmission, and having racked up only 57,000 miles over the course of 50 years on the planet, we’re guessing that this rig was owned and operated by a small town fire and rescue department and was well kept for its service life. The seller is looking for $7,200 for the vehicle and we’re not sure if that is high or not because we had previously never seen one of these before.

About the only thing we’d do if we got our hands on this rig would be to spiff up the paint, spiff up the interior, and cruise it hard. Hopefully someone scores the beauty and keeps it up and running for the next 50 years. They’ll have their hands on one rare rig and we’re pretty sure they won’t run into a “I had one of these when I was a kid,” situation at any car show or cruise night they ever attend.

What do you think? Super cool? Too expensive?
