Could This Be The Cleanest Early Bronco Survivor Ever?

Could This Be The Cleanest Early Bronco Survivor Ever?

This 1975 Bronco is an amazing uncut and rust free example of the little Bronco that started a craze. There is something about these 1st Generation Bronco’s that just speak to people. Maybe it’s the fact that Big Ole was built from one. Or that they just ooze cool. For a lot of people these are super rare and seeing one on the road is a never happens kind of thing. For us out here in California, there are a fair number of them running around. In fact, my neighbor across the street has one he drives regularly and there are at least three in the high school parking lot where my kids go to school.

But, regardless of how often I see them cruising around, seeing one this clean and uncut is amazing. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one this original and nice. Sure it has had a restoration, but who cars. There is nothing on it but the front shocks and steering stabilizer that don’t look like original parts. Those springs might be providing a little lift too, it does seem to sit slightly higher than the original pictures I’ve seen.

According to all the info below, this thing has been gone through top to bottom to make sure it runs and drives great. Everything has been rebuilt or replaced, but the original paint is still on the outside as it looked great with just a buff job.

Here is what the seller has to say about it:

This amazingly original Un-Cut Ford Bronco Ranger was in a garage in Long Beach for over 20 years with the same owner. It has only 51,500 original miles on the entire truck, and the rebuilt engine only has 4000 miles on it. We just finished restoring this Bronco back to original & making it reliable, easier & more comfortable to drive around town in. It has factory power steering & power brakes.

This Bronco just had both axles removed, sand blasted, re-painted, re-sealed & re-installed with all new brakes & brake lines. All dirt, oil & grease has been removed from the undercarriage & the engine bay. Same goes with the drive shafts, radius arms, front & rear suspension, steering tie rod, steering stabilizer shock, drag link & track bar bushings. We blacked out the chassis and applied a fresh coat of black protective under coating the entire under carriage to prevent rust in the future.

The factory 302 engine has been rebuilt, re-painted & re-sealed, and looks brand new. It has a stock air cleaner on it. It just got a rebuilt C-4 three speed automatic transmission conversion (the transmission has a 12,000 mile one year warranty) with a new black tilt steering column & stock steering wheel, plus a rebuilt factory Dana 20 transfer case & two rebuilt drive shafts.

The original blue Ranger Hounds Tooth interior has been meticulously restored back to factory (hence the picture of the floor pans before the carpeting was installed). There is no rust in the floor pans or anywhere else in the truck! The entire floor pan was prepped & re-painted in the factory color, then we added new factory replacement blue Ranger carpeting & used the original carpet rails to hold it all in place. Now the interior is as close as we could get it to factory and it’s immaculate inside!

New matching RR vinyl Sport door panels were just installed, along with new armrests, door cups, inner & outer door handles. A black Bill Stroppe roll bar & bikini top were laid in (they are not bolted down yet in case someone wants a different roll bar) plus we’re installing a new set of retractable front seat belts in front & lap belts in back. The interior could still be changed out to white or black interior if someone wants to do something different on the inside.

We installed new window felts & channels so the windows roll up and down tightly & the doors now open & close as they should. The window regulators & inner door parts have all been removed, lubricated & re-installed, anything that needed to be replaced was replaced. The doors are working properly & the door gaps line up great. We also installed new tailgate seal & track, plus new tailgate bumpers to prevent rattles.

We just buffed out the light blue factory paint and it came out fantastic! We also installed all new aluminum body trim around the outside of the Bronco & on the grille. We just had the insides of both doors re-painted, as well as the door jams, now it looks super clean inside. The side lights, tail light lenses, amber grill lenses & aluminum bezels have been replaced with new. It’s also got new rubber lower door seals, new brake petal pad & e-brake petal pad, a new chrome antenna, all lights & gauges are working properly. We also just installed a set of antique white powder coated factory steel wheels with brand new stock size All Terrain tires with a nice set of original hub caps.

If you would like additional work done, we could do whatever you want us to do because we restore Classic Ford Broncos every day. That is why you should buy one from Rocky Roads instead of buying privately, where you just don’t know what you are getting unless you have it fully inspected before you buy it, which we recommend you do with ANY Classic Car you decide to purchase. We also offer this service.

Just a question, is it still a “survivor” if it’s been fully restored? Nice truck, but I’m not sure you can still use that term anymore.

Vehicles stays rust free in cali, news at 11..
Cool and all but not shocking, Now if it was found near the great lakes, then you’d have a story.
