I Blame KOH For Making Me Want A 4×4 Again! This CJ7 Is Bad Ass

I Blame KOH For Making Me Want A 4×4 Again! This CJ7 Is Bad Ass

Hanging out at King of the Hammers means you are going to see some of the baddest off-road machines ever. But it also means you are going to see some weird stuff too. And it makes you think about building your own off-road machine. It’s dangerous I tell you! Which is why the entire drive to and from and to and from King of the Hammers 2016 I was thinking about all the fun stuff we could do with an off-road buggy, side by side, trail rig, or whatever. Well, in honor of that I have found a pretty bad ass CJ7 Jeep crawler trail rig for sale right here here in SoCal. It’s a bad ass.

With a Dana 60 up front and 14-bolt out back, this truck has all the bulletproof you need between the tires. Lockers front and rear, 5.13 gears, 4-link rear and 3-link front suspension suspended by ORI air struts makes it super adjustable. The built Dana 300 transfer case, beadlocks, 39.5 tires, winch, lights, and a full cage mean you won’t get stuck and when you do you will be safe and able to pull yourself out. It’s got a great track record of hitting some of the toughest trails in the west, and it even comes with a 20′ trailer that was custom built for it. We do have to say that we wish it had more engine under the hood, but the 4.2 liter inline 6 is Howell EFI equipped so it will run at any angle, and the torque will keep you moving I’m sure.

Not a bad truck. I’m not a fan of the Dana 300 Tcase, but with the 6 cyl it will be ‘ok’. the Air shocks are a ‘no go’-I tried being cheap and running them on the rear of my rig, Useless, finally bought coil overs like I should have in the first place! You are not going to like the fiberglass tub once you dump it, and its’ broken, and can’t be fixed easily.

why don’t you like the dana 300? it’s the same as an Atlas transfer case, simply without the billet case and the billet price… all gear, ability to get 4:1 ratios and still cost 1/2 an Atlas…. so do tell, why?
