The Schuss Mountain Griztek Snow Challenge is awesome. Come late March in Michigan, these folks take a giant pile of snow and make it into a guardrail down the middle of a ski slope. Then they line racers up at the bottom and start them off a christmas tree side by side. It’s snow drag racing, but uphill. Last year was a killer race that had tons of hair raising action. We’re sure 2016 will be the same, but until then you need to see this! What’s extra cool about this event is the fact that it brings out all kinds of machines. Sand drag, mud drag, mega trucks, street drivers and much much more are taking their shot at the mountain, and the guy in the next lane. The basis for all the classes is tire size, with additional differences in classes being determined by engine and/or chassis modifications.

It’s a pretty easy format to follow, has double eliminations in round one so everyone gets lots of racing, and you never know what is going to happen. Watch, and head there for next year!
