The Conver C550 Is A Real Life, Functional Version Of A Weird Contraption Your Kids Your Make Out Of Legos

My kids love Legos and the fun part about it is that they like free-styling with them probably more than actual kit building. I swear to the heavens that my son Jack has constructed the Lego version of this actual Conver C550 amphibious compact excavator before and shown me. I almost fell over when I saw the real life German version on the small screen in front of me digging stuff, pumping stuff, and driving in and out of the water. All this machine needs is a beer holder to be pretty much the ultimate one man fishing boat. Am I right? You can cruise into the lake, put your motor down and buzz around, maybe dig out a little area for yourself then just settle in and wait.

We were trying to think of the places that this machine would be useful and when you start to consider all the drainage ditches and small ponds that need to be maintained there’s lots of stuff you can do with this machine. We looked into the Conver company because we had never heard of them before and it turns out that they are based in the Netherlands and make a multitude of interesting and creative machines to solve all kinds of maintenance and construction concerns. This is one of their smaller creations but that is part of the reason I think it is so cool. I have seen lots of big excavators on barges and stuff but never one that is its own boat!

I’m going to show Jack this video and let him know that somehow he had the same idea that a group of smart engineers from the Netherlands did, tracks excavator arm and all.

Why would you crawl into the water to dig mud to the shore…there are long articulated digging arms for track machines.
