Duck And Cover Video: This Snow Blasting Train Won’t Be Stopped And The Camera Man Gets BLASTED!

(By Jason Mazzotta) – There have been plenty of snow blowers and plows at work over the recent months to help clear the railroad tracks in order to move the passengers to their destinations. But here’s the thing. Why use a snow blower when you can just put the train at full bore and let it blast the snow to the next county? At the beginning of February, during the rampage of winter storms and huge amounts of snowfall, Darren Gordon captured the Canadian National Railway Locomotive 2304 in Salisbury, New Brunswick taking care of business in getting the snow off the tracks.

On what is most likely the day after a huge snowfall, with sunny blue skies the tracks are completely covered in what looks like possibly feet of snow, right up until the afternoon train comes barreling through leaving nothing in its path, especially any snow. You can see the train not losing any speed as it is approaching the railroad crossing, and the snow is flowing off of the front of the train like water. It seems as the train has made it through the heavy stuff right up until it reaches the crossing, as well as the camera man, and of course the huge snowbank that never stood a chance. The amount of snow the locomotive is pushing is astounding, as well as lack of visibility the conductor is experiencing after making it through this snow.
