Few Things Are More BangShifty Than A Screaming, Motorcycle Engine Powered, Mini-Pulling Tractor

John Piper is the news inductee into the wholly imaginary BangShift hall of fame and the reason is that he has one of the coolest mini-pulling tractor setups we have ever seen. This little monster has a liquid cooled four cylinder motorcycle engine on it (you can see the itty bitty radiator on the front of the engine) and it has the power to pull the scaled down sled like it is on greased rails. Piper certainly has an experienced right foot because he used lots of restraint on this run by getting the tractor and sled combo rolling before really giving it the oats and winding the engine up to its soprano level redline. In fact, when we first watched the video we almost clicked it off early because it didn’t seem like he was willing to flat foot the thing but he waits until he needs it to use all the power the machine has.

Adding to the fun is the safety garb of what looks to be a flamed bicycle helmet, fire jacket, sweats, and snappy new sneakers. This guy rules the school. The chassis looks similar to what you’d find on bigger tractor, just brought down to size. You can see the area where his weights are bolted down, the moon style gas tank is way out front and the whole rig seems to be immaculately finished. In combing through a bunch of videos featuring these machines, we saw bunches with small block V8s on chassis this big but it was Piper’s that stuck out because of the unique plant and the fact that it is finished to such a nice degree.

John Piper, you are the man!
