Watch This 6×6 Russian KrAZ Army Wrecker Dominate The “Drag Heavy Load While Doing Wheelie” Event

Today we’re highlighting this gold metal performance by a KrAZ 6×6 Russian army truck that is set up to be a wrecker. This chassis is used as a flat bed, troop carrier, dump truck, etc. It is a general all around vehicle that can be configured for the needs of the army in particular situations. Power comes from a 330hp turbo diesel engine and as you’ll see in this video, it has some serious guts and strength in the chassis department, there is not a hint of twist or drooping as the whole weight of the truck and the load are on the rear axle.

KrAZ trucks have been produced in large volume since the company was founded in Russia back in the 1950s. There have been more than 800,000 sold over the years and they are used in more than 30 countries around the world in mostly civilian applications but word is that the Finnish army has several at their disposal to use. If I was rich enough, I’d try to figure a way to get one into this country but that would probably somehow lead to me being imprisoned…until I am freed by the KrAZ dragging the jail away. See, I have all this planned out already.

We’re sad to report that during the Drag Heavy Load While Doing Wheelie event, one Chinese truck was caught with illegal performance enhancers, a Japanese truck snapped In half with a broken frame, and the American truck was too intoxicated from partying with the Canadian trucks the evening before to compete. Tomorrow we’ll turn our attention to the all important “Russian automotive biathlon” event. Stay tuned!

Are you sure that\’s a \”wrecker\”? It could be a bridge carrier truck. It\’s pulling a floating bridge section out of the water.
