Power Wagon Week: Check Out This 1958 Dodge Town Wagon Power Wagon

If you’d like to know just how soft we have gone as a people, look no further than our current crop of SUVs in comparison to this 1958 Dodge own Wagon Power Wagon. Sure in today’s trucks we have seats and warm and cool our backsides, suspensions that “adapt” to the road, engines that sip on fuel and delivery great performance, etc. Despite all that we have lost the air of toughness that once followed these cars and trucks around. Now it is all about CUVs and junk that cannot climb a curb when the going gets tough. The video below will show you what an SUV is, what an SUV should be, and why this one is an unstoppable beast.

But back to the truck below. With every single option ever offered on one of these rigs including the 315ci hemi engine, we’re shocked that it is apparently one of the few and the proud known to exist. With three rows of seating inside the truck along with a full sized spare in the passenger compartment, it is practical AND cool. It has the pushbutton Loadflite transmission, stainless and chrome everywhere, and the looks of a semi-truck that mated with a Chevy suburban. With the 19.5-inch wheels and super narrow tires, the whole thing is just plain boss. We’re in love!
