Over the duration that BangShift has been around we’ve showed dozens, maybe hundreds of videos that highlight the incredible capabilities of the Mercedes Unimog. From their military uses to their grunt work in fields and farms across the world, the Unimog has long been one of the gold standards of four wheeled capability in any and all situations. This two minute video shows the trucks being used as toys and competition vehicles in various settings and while the slickly produced company videos showing what these trucks can do are cool, these are 100 times better because they show ’em being used to the fullest of their abilities. We’re not sure where the clip of the rig laden with guys climbing the river bank was shot but it proves that there are idiot all across the Earth anyway. Those guys are all future organ donors.

The scene with the trucks romping through a deep river is awesome because they create such a wave that the photographers make a run for it as the “tide” comes in. That and the fact that the water is clearly several feet deep and the trucks gave exactly zero EFFS about that situation. After wathcing something like this how could you not want to own one a Unimog just so you’d have the ability to get out and screw around on any surface that the Earth can throw at you!
