This past weekend was Round 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, and all the high flying Pro Lite, Pro 2, and Pro 4 trucks you love to see flying through the air were on hand at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park. We were there too, as part of the Optima Ambassador program which meant shaking hands and kissing babies while watching great racing and drooling over kick as trucks at every turn. If you haven’t been to a Lucas Oil Off Road race, you are missing out on greatness. Each and every track on the LOORRS circuit is packed full of jumps, whoops, turns, and berms that test the drivers ability to get their vehicle lined up and ready for each section of the track, all while trying to keep someone else from landing on them, bashing into them, or flipping them over. It’s epic.

Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park is one of two Southern California tracks to host the LOORRS, and may be our favorite. The jumps are huge the grandstands are ultra nice, and the facility is laid out in such a way as to insure that you can see 99% of the track from virtually any seat in the house. We spent time in the VIP hospitality areas, which are ultra cool, and also on top of the Optima big rig you see at events all around the country.

Brian Deegan, Jeremy McGrath, Rob Maccachren, Bryce Menzies, Carl Renezeder, Rodrigo Ampudia, Greg Adler, The Leduc boys, Corry Weller, and a whole gaggle of other awesome drivers were on hand racing for the win. At each of these LOORRS events there are classes ranging from three different “kart” classes for kids from 8-16, plus Pro Lite mini trucks, Pro Buggy, and our favorites Pro 2 and Pro 4 Trucks.

Since we weren’t shooting the action from the trackside, we’ve got some interesting angles. These events are held at night as well so some of the fire shooting out of the exhaust in mid air is pretty cool.
