Longest Burnout Ever? V16 Detroit Diesel Powered Australian Mack Truck Destroys A Set Of Rear Tires On The Pad

We’re thinking that this could be the longest sustained burnout we have ever seen. Yeah, there is a break of a minute or two when the guy slides the rid off the burnout pad and it gets stuck in the dirt and requires a push from a front end loader, but outside of that this cab over Mack from Australia with a 16-cylinder, turbocharged Detroit Diesel engines spins, smokes, and generally destroys its four big rear tires on a car sized burnout pad. The driver deftly wheels the truck in graceful spins, slides, and stationary smokeage for minutes and minutes on end. That big 16-cylinder Detroit Diesel engine sounds fantastic and it isn’t even working all of that much.

We’re not sure of the year of the truck but knowing Australia’s stringent laws regarding the modification of street legal cars, is it possible that this truck is actually road legal? The big two stroke Detroit looks bitchin’ and it sounds even better sitting right out there in the Breeze behind the tall cab, but if the guy can’t drive this thing on the street and he has to haul it everywhere, that’s a burden and a half, right! On the flip side, if it is street legal, we’d be laying strips of rubber a half mile long across Australia as our job every day until we were installed into the ground.

Initially we didn’t know this was from Australia and then we saw the guy who would be on the American driver’s side hanging out the window as the tires blaze and the truck spins to that tipped us off. Also, the fact that we have not seen a Mack cabover big rig in a very long time sealed the deal. Is it us or do you think this truck has had the frame stretched a little? We dig how it looks, especially with the engine on permanent display behind the cab but the wheelbase looks long, longer than a factory would have made. Are we nuts or do you agree?

If you like the sweet song of Detroit Diesel horsepower, this video is a nine minute symphony!

Mate, you only needed to check the Yobs with the Stubbies and beer guts hanging around the back of the truck to work out this footage is from ‘Straya.
