We have shown lots of cool RC stuff over the years here at BangShift but we’re not sure we have ever showed RC monster truck pulling action! This video was shot at the 2016 RC World Finals and as you will see, these guys take this stuff seriously. Some people would scoff at the money invested in these little monsters but then again we know plenty of people who scoff at the money that men and women spend on their race cars.
These are little hot rods for sure. They scream hard when the drivers run them at full song and they look awesome with bodies on them that range from late model trucks to classics like the Ford shown in the shot below. The sled is cool and seems to function on the same principle as a large professional grade one with a moving weight box. In this case instead of weights that need to be lowered in with a crane, small chunks of concrete are used.
Coil over suspensions, super wide stance, paddle style tires, weight bars hanging off their fronts, and long rigid chassis are all just miniaturized modifications from the world of real pulling trucks.
Listen to these little engine scream, throw dirt, and drag the sled!
Come on!
Overgrown hard up boys with mosquitoes on wheels do not make good copy on a Sunday morning. Better to spend the money on attending a full-size pulling event than making our hangovers worse with those little nitro motor sounds.
