Mule City 300 Pulling Action: More Engine Screaming, Dirt Chomping Action From North Carolina!

Mule City 300 Pulling Action: More Engine Screaming, Dirt Chomping Action From North Carolina!

(Photos by David Whealon) – If you are thinking that we have had a ton of event coverage recently from Galot Motorsports Park you are right! After a comprehensive rebuild the track has hit the ground running this year, showcasing not only the world class drag strip but also the pulling side of the facility as well. Recently the track hosted the Mule City 300 and it was one of the most intense and well attended events of the entire pulling season on a national scale. Hell, there was a guy who came all the way from Europe to compete!

In this collection of David Whealon photos you’ll see some gnarly diesel rigs but most importantly you will see a whole bunch of the insane unlimited tractors with all of their screaming engines running at full bore, struggling mightily against the weight of the sled. We have no idea what it feels like to be the guy in the lead photo but with the front end a couple of feet in the air and the throttle handle jammed all the way forward, it has to be a sensation unlike any other in motorsports.

Here’s our latest from The Mule City 300 from the talented lens of David Whealon. He crushed it, as usual! Oh, and we have LOTS more where this came from. Galot Motorsports Park is one of the great success stories in the country when it comes to racing. Here’s even more proof!
