(Photos by David Whealon) – For starters we have to thank ECTA’s official photographer David Whealon for allowing us to use these awesome action photos that he blasted at the recent NTPA pull that was happening in Wilmington, Ohio the same weekend we were there for the ECTA Ohio Mile event. Sadly, I couldn’t make it due to needing to handle some business on Saturday night but David did and since he’s a bad ass shooter, we have an amazing gallery of action photos featuring diesel tractors, mini modified tractors, and some of the wild two wheel drive trucks. BangShift is going to be stepping up our tractor pulling coverage now that we have McTaggart smack dab in the middle of pulling country and consider David’s gallery an intro into that world. We’re not talking antiques here, kids. We’re talking multi-thousand horsepower ground pounders working to within an inch of their lives to haul the sled as far as they can.

The NTPA is the big dog of the pulling world and while there are lots of regional series, the NTPA has pulls happening all over the place on any given weekend. Their class structure allows for all different types of vehicles and frankly it is impossible for me to pick a favorite. How could I? Do you want the mean diesels with locomotive torque and horsepower like dragster or do you wan the big unlimited beasts that have hemi engines hanging off them like apples off a tree? That’s like asking which of my kids I love the most.
