We have to thank BangShifter extrodinare Scott Brown for tipping us off to this fantastic video that gives us an in-truck view of what it is like for the Stadium Super Trucks to attack a road course complete with jumps and fender banging action. Apparently these guys are running with the road course guys all season because they appeared at the Long Beach GP, which we showed you last week and this week the video was taken at the Grand Prix of St. Petersberg, Florida. Outside the truck video was neat but the inside the truck stuff is absolutely freaking awesome.

Between getting a clear sense of what it is like to actually try to wrangle one of these things around a road course with their off road tires and crazy body lean to seeing how it is to fly one off a jump and land on asphalt, you are literally going to see something you’ve never seen before. We’re trying to see where else these trucks will appear in 2014 because we’re way more interested in seeing them than the other stuff that would actually be the “main event” at one of these races. This is like real-life Mario Kart! The funniest part is when the drivers of the trucks have to drive clear across the course to hit the jumps even though they are way out of the racing line.

While the jumping is one thing, the wheel to wheel nature of the racing is another and whether it was set up like this for show or just happened to play out this way, you’ll see two trucks literally welded together for most of the course…even when they are flying through the air. Pay close attention because through one high speed left hander it appears that the lead truck goes way up on two wheels. Maybe it was our eyes playing a trick, but we’re pretty sure there’s daylight under the left hand tires of that rig. Words don’t do it justice.
