This 1967 Dodge Power Wagon May Have A Chevy Big Block But It Also Has Killer Solid Wheels – Neat Truck!

If there was one thing that really captured my imagination as a kid reading four wheel drive magazines it was huge trucks with solid wheels. I have no idea why those thoughts and that look have stuck with me for three decades but I am still enamored with every old school looking rig I see with those rollers. This 1967 Dodge Power Wagon has them, along with a big block Chevy engine, NDT military tires, a sweet blue paint job, and an interior finished with a kind of lame shifter but some really awesome seats.

Before you start freaking out and telling us this is a 1947 model, understand that the WM300 style Power Wagon was made until 1968 with virtually no styling changed through the years. So yes, this could be a 1967 truck, as insane as that sounds.

The truck has much of the stock driveline behind the engine which the selling agent says makes about 400hp. That’s more than enough to move this awesome rig down the road in our opinion. A blower would look totally awesome on top of that rat motor but this is sure not a speedster with the stock style axles and the steep gearing that comes with them.

The big front bumper is not our favorite and it seems to jut out and look kid of awkward. There would need to be some marker and turn signal lights added but that could be done in a pretty subtle way that did not require a steel girder to add three feet to the length of the truck.

This is one nice hunk of Dodge Power Wagon and we’d cruise it with a smile for sure. Would hood sides be nice? Sure but that big block looks pretty good glinting in the sun.
