Video Bonanza: Huge Ford Trucks Carrying Huge Wheelies On The Pulling Course And Slogging Through The Mud Pit

I am an unapologetic supporter of the growing movement of building huge trucks the old school way with 2.5-ton Rockwell axles, crazy leaf springs and big cubic inch fat block motors. The tube chassis trucks are incredible and can do amazing things, but the look of old school Fords, Chevys, and Dodges with all that tire under them waxes nostalgic to the beginning days of the monster truck craze. The trucks you’ll see in the below videos are total throwback machines in all the best ways. From their stance to their sound and choice of rubber they would have been at home about the time Bob Chandler started the never ending process of modifying Bigfoot 1 into what was later recognized as the first monster truck in the world. Chandler mud bogged that thing, he took  it to the truck pulls, crept over a couple of cars here and there, attacked the hill at Gravel-Rama, and did all the stuff “truck guys” do.

Hitting the play button on the videos below will take you back to those days but the best part is, the footage is from this year. Viva la OLD SCHOOL MONSTERS!

PRESS PLAY AND WATCH SOME TRULY AWESOME IRON HARD AT WORK AT THE PULLS AND IN THE MUD!

Brian! This happens to me every year when the weather turns nasty….my focus turns from fast cars to 4×4 trucks!!
Seems like with all the traveling you’re doing…you should be looking for a rust free dentside Ford to road trip home!
