A couple days ago I told about about my experience riding along with Ricky Johnson in a Torc Pro 2WD off road truck during a preview day for the upcoming Red Bull Frozen Rush event at Sunday River ski resort in Maine. This was an awesome day and a great experience. Getting pelted in the face with snow, muck, ice, and rain was hilarious and having that all happen while being screamed at by a 600hp stroker Ford V8 made it all the better. Craig Fitzgerald was there as well that day and he had a bunch of GoPro cameras that he strapped all over the truck. Thanks to his crew over at BestRide.com, I have this two minute video to show you that highlights some of the fun stuff that we got to do in the truck.
One thing you cannot get from the video is the sensation of the suspension working in this vehicle. I have driven some cool off-road stuff in the last several years but absolutely nothing compared to this. The way it would lean and heave in the corners, the way it would soak up the elevation changes and stuff we encountered at speed, and just the sheer amount of travel that the front and rear tires have would blow your mind. As I said in my earlier story, Johnson handles these trucks like a boss. Drifting, spinning donuts, and hammering the throttle at the right moment, he was having as much fun driving as I was riding.
This is just a quick preview. On January 8-9 Red Bull Frozen rush will take place at Sunday River ski resort in Newry, Maine. agreed, loose the music, the engine would be more than enough, it looks like a very fun ride
It would appear that the obvious has to be stated:
1. This is a site for gear heads
2. This is NOT a site for music downloads.
3. Having reviewed, #1 & #2 it would be obviously clear that we’re entertained by the sound of either LOUD engines or SMOKING tires.
4. In conclusion,………do not put MUSIC on top of something that is already entertaining. It’s not only redundant,………….IT”S ANNOYING!
