This is the famous beach on St. Maarten where airplanes come in a couple of dozen feet above the heads of beach goers. The inverse of this moment is when the planes take off. The jumbo jets deck the engines and all of the massive jet wash hammers the throngs of people on the beach like crazy. This is literally insane.

This is likely a popular thing to do, to stand in the wash of a massive jet as it spools up its turbines to get ready for a charge down what is probably a short runway. If you have spent any time in airplanes you have likely participated in this fun before. The captain stands on the brakes, gives the throttle hands the old “what for” and then you go rocketing off into the wild blue yonder. Behind the plane? There shouldn’t be anything behind the plane, especially people.

This group gets blasted by sand, things are flying everywhere and so aren’t people. Dozens of these maroons gets blown into the ocean like leaves. We’re not sure what the hell the fun in this is but perhaps the free skin exfoliation is part of the allure. This is easily one of the dumbest “group activities” that we have ever seen. Totally insane.

Long story short, this is a bad idea and you probably should not do it.
