Watch Tim O’Neil, Owner Of Team O’Neil Rally School Artfully Drift His F-450 Dually

Watch Tim O’Neil, Owner Of Team O’Neil Rally School Artfully Drift His F-450 Dually

Dave Nutting and I spent what is likely the most memorable day of our automotive lives at the Team O’Neil Rally School up in Dalton, NH a couple of summers ago. That was the day that we got to ride with world class rally drivers and then take driving instruction from some of the Team O’Neil experts. It was fantastic and the ring leader of the whole enterprise is Tim O’Neil who also happens to be the hero in this video. The school operates year ’round with all different kinds of courses and instruction for students and thrill seekers. We mention that because on the day that this madness was filmed there were probably some people learning about car control on the snow which O’Neil has obviously mastered!

While it may not be covered in snow quite yet, the temperatures in New England have finally hit the skids over the last week so that means snow is on he way and with snow, comes fun.

There’s not a ton of mystery as to what you are about to watch and maybe that’s what makes it so good. We have all seen someone skid a dually around but to see it done in the hands of a guy who really knows control, who knows how to get that aircraft carrier of a truck into a beauty of a drift and hang it there though an entire turn is the show. There’s an awesome 360 that he rips where you can clearly see that as the truck rotates he chucks it in reverse, hammers the gas, and then wails ‘er back into drive as the truck comes all the way around.

There’s a big difference between idiots like us in a parking lot and a guy who has won national rally championships and that difference is on full display here. We even like the fun background music and the way O’Neil goes through his “pre-flight” checks!
