Event Coverage: Wednesday at the 2009 Bonneville Speed Week, Including a 262-MPH Truck!By Chad Posted 08/13/09
OK, you readers, I admit I am totally wiped right now. While the cool guys are out at the 200 MPH Club banquet tonight, I'm still pounding out all the coverage I can on the 2009 Bonneville Speed Week. Click here for the photo gallery of today's action.
The biggest news from today is that the Nish Royal Purple streamliner ran 385 mph, threatening to take top speed of the meet and the Hot Rod Magazine trophy away from the Poteet and Main Speed Demon, which has run 387 mph. Both cars will run again in the morning, and BangShift.com will be there to report which car took the highest mph. Both are shooting for 400.
Here are some links to the other coverage of Speed Week that we have posted over the past several days:

385 mph: Nish Still in the Hunt for Top Speed of the Meet
262 mph in a 7,200-pound Dodge truck with just 293ci! Wow!
