Photo Gallery: Pomona Swap Meet, January 17, 2010By Chad Posted 01/18/10

The Pomona Swap Meet is a Southern California hot spot, and a destination for Car Junkies from around the world. This was the first Pomona Swap Meet of the year and it was packed. We've never had to wait in such a long line to park. In addition to the plentiful array of parts and tools available in the swap meet area, Pomona is known for being the place to buy and sell cars.

We were really surprised at the number of people still waiting in line to get into the car corral area at 7 am when we arrived in Pomona. And while we had a car to sell, you can pull in this area just to park close and show off your ride. For $25 you get the car and two people into the swap meet which is only $2 more than parking out with the "public" and having to walk a half mile. The other cool thing about Pomona is the family outting atmosphere you'll find in the car corral. Many people bring their EZ Up, BBQ and cooler so they can hang out all day and look at cars or buy parts. It's really a cool place to hang out. If you haven't been, we highly recommend you do. It's definitely a great car junkie destination.

Great pics, Chad. How did DF escape Pomona without buying a car? He give you his money again?  ;D

If things would have went as planned I would have been there, maybe March? I'm sure I wouldn't have bought any vehicles unless there was a Nova wagon there calling my name. I'm Envious of the weather and all the events going on out on the "Left Coast", Long Beach Swap, Pomona Swap, then in between you have the Donut Derelicts, Bob's Big Boy, Van Nuys cruise and your choice of other events! Oh well, I think I'll go outside and help my Granddaughter build a Snowman.

Snuck in just before the rain, nice!

Thanks for the pic of the T-bird :)

When I worked at the Pontiac/GMC Dealership (rip :'() gal who was our shuttle driver had and Orange one of these with a black top (it was her Dad's first).  She said it used to have the dual quad intake, but it was stolen off the car in the early 90's :o  She wasn't very mechanically inclined, so I figured if she knew that it must of been true, talked about how pissed her Dad was about it.

If I had been ther that teal early Bronco would be mine. Come to think of it, if I had been there a number of them would be mine. Man, it is a good thing I don't live in California.
