Anyone who lives in a cold weather climate has a pile of snow driving stories. I’m not sure I know a single person who didn’t have either a crash or a near miss as a kid learning to drive in the white stuff. Like the person driving in this video learns, overconfidence and speed are the two main factors in most snow crashes. This driver also learned about the awful feeling in the pit of your stomach when you realize that you no longer have any control over the car and the steering wheel is just a useless ornament.
By the audio it seems that there are two people in the car while it makes good time down a rural, snow covered road. There are two ruts worn into the middle of said road and the wannabe rally driver behing the wheel keeps wicking the speed up and up.
It all goes to hell when the passenger seems to tell the driver to slow down as they are passing a disabled car, either that or he is telling the driver that they are going to need to turn right on an upcoming side road. It seems like the driver lands on the brakes and then, well, you’ll see.
Why do all these people in Russia have dash cams?!
