The yearly Gasser Reunion has been going on for about 10 years now. What started as a small meet at Thompson Dragway in Ohio has grown into a far more robust show that is currently held at nostalgic Beaver Springs Dragway in Pennsylvania. Our pals Dawn and Mark Hovsepian were there shooting video and photos and the results of their efforts are freaking fantastic.
This five minute video is jam packed with wheelstands, launches, in-car, on car, and under car video, and some of the neatest period looking gassers in the country. More and more guys are building cars like you’ll see in the video because they capture one of the great eras in the development of drag racing. The racers you will see in this video are doing a fine job of keep the history of the sport alive in the best way possible, by hiking the front end, smoking the tires, and running their junk full bore down the strip. We’d take a ratty running gasser over a static beautiful museum piece all day long and this video proves why!
