(Photos by Jeremy George) – A short while back we ran a photo gallery from the 2012 Shelby American Automobile Club national meet and SVRA historic races at Watkins Glen, NY. As it turns out, another member of our Ford loving BangShift brigade was on hand at the event and he sent us a load of photos as well. We then lost them under a shuffle of electronic papers. His handiwork has been relocated and we’ve posted them for you to cruise through.
In this collection of Jeremy’s photos you’ll see extensive coverage of the show, which had more original Shelby Cobras than we have ever seen in one place before, great photos of the race cars that ran around the historic Watkins Glen road course. Like usual, we were drooling onto our keyboard when scoping out the race cars because from the vintage Can Am cars of the 1960s with their screaming big blocks and beautiful bodies to the old open wheel cars and even full bodied cars, they all just ooze history and they all encapsulate our favorite eras in racing.
From here on out, we’ll let Jeremy’s photos do the talking! Hit the links below to get a killer tour of an event we wish we were at!
