In our efforts to strengthen the bond between American and Aussie hot rodders, we started a bit of a pissing contest with regards to burnouts. For horsepower hounds the only thing more sacred than bench racing is smack talking, so we figured we would help stir the pot. It turns out that we have a small, but very dedicated, group of Americans in the northeast who get their burnouts on in a big way. And they do it on the most American of holidays. Thanksgiving. And I would be remiss not to mention the fact that Brian is to blame for my lack of knowledge on this event. After all, these festivities happen a mere 50 miles from his house! Bastard! Why didn’t you tell me about this?!
Anyway, the guys over at Uni-Trans Transport, in Uxbridge Massachusetts, block off an area of their lot each year and invite out the masses for a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with tire smoke. Now this is a Thanksgiving tradition we can wrap our arms around! Screw football and all that crap. I want tire smoke, rev limiters, valve float, and hot engines. If I lived within 100 miles of this place I would camp out the night before! Wow this rules. Major kudos to the Uni-Trans dudes for having the stones to do this kind of thing. Keep in mind these are complete amateurs doing this, but it’s cool to see how they have “progressed” to more of the Aussie style over the years!

And thanks to Johnny Gaudette for sending us links to his two 2011 videos and educating me on what the Yanks are doing on the east coast! I want to come visit for Thanksgiving!!!!!!
