Car Feature: Bitchin' Blue Custom 1965 Acadian WagonBy Chad Reynolds Posted 08/2/2010
When we saw Dave Show's 1965 Acadian Wagon, sitting in The Grove at Famoso Raceway during DragFest, we fell in love with the killer stance, insane paint, and cool cruiser vibe. The fact that Dave saw our coverage of DragFest, and thanked us for including a photo of the car in our coverage, was a cool bonus. Finding out that Dave was interested in letting us shoot it for a feature, was... Read More >
Car Feature: The Granny Goose II Modified Production 1969 CamaroBy Brian Lohnes Posted 07/23/2010
We're lucky enough to spend lots of time at cool events either shooting video or photos of neat cars. During the 2009 Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion, we saw a D/Modified Production 1969 Camaro called the Granny Goose II and immediately fell in love. Unfortunately for us, we were so busy we were not able to hunt down the car owners for information on this awesome machine. We didn't make the same mistake in 2010. This... Read More >
Mini-Feature: The Steve Korney Stone-Woods-Cooke 1969 Corvette Blown GasserBy Brian Lohnes Posted 06/23/2010
By the early 1970s, the traditional gasser, like that of Barb Hamilton we showed you last week, was dead. The new generation of gassers used modern bodies, many of which didn't have operational doors. The cars were essentially turning into gasoline burning funny cars. The catch? Somewhere deep down in their tube chassis were stock frame rails from the mini-cars that launched the class. In the case of this Corvette, those frame rails were from... Read More >
Video and Feature Story: Larry Larson's 6-Second Drag Week Nova Cruising the Vegas StripBy Chad Posted 11/30/2009
Last week we brought you video of Larry Larson's incredible, Hot Rod Drag Week winning 1966 Nova running its first ever 6-second pass at the The Strip in Las Vegas, which is amazing for a 3,500-pound car that is really street driven. Now, to prove the street statement, we've got video of Larry cruising the "other" strip in Vegas. We were there to shoot photos and video as Larry hit Fremont St. and Las Vegas Blvd on his way south to the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, all just an hour after running 6.934 at 211.59 on Saturday during the PSCA Street Car Super Nationals. Special thanks to Mike Galiimi who helped us out by shooting photos while we shot video. Read More >

Steve and Lisa Caspary's 1955 Chevy is a full-on, serious show car. So serious in fact, that the shoebox took first place in its category at the Grand National Roadster Show, one of the premier judged car shows in the world for hot rods and customs. Read More >
Car Feature: Stunning 1955 Chevy Nomad, With Video!By Brian Lohnes Posted 06/29/2009
Chevy Nomads are one of the few cars that will be eternally cool. Maybe that's why Robert "Nick" Nichols wanted one and was willing to wait for it--for 50 years to be exact! Read More >
Car Feature: 10.0-Second Small-Block 1973 Camaro, No Nitrous! Plus Vintage PhotosBy Brian Lohnes Posted 05/28/2009
It seems like most guys' hot rods get put into one form or another and live there forever. You built a Pro Street car in the 1980s and it's probably still sporting steamroller tires out back and that blower is still sticking through the hood. Greg Frazier is not into that at all. Read More >
