(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Friendswood, Texas is the home of the FIG (Friendswood is Great) Car Show and festival. It is a way for the community to welcome Spring and a way for the chamber of commerce to get a bunch of people into town to spend cash at local businesses. Basically it is a win-win for everyone, especially gearheads who were treated to a great gathering of hot rods, classics, trucks, and bikes on a sunny day.
Wickam was again our man on the scene and he did a nice job of picking out the cool and BangShifty rides from the car show. He reported that this year’s show was a bit smaller than years past due to some crappy weather that blew through the night before. All the guys afraid of a little liquid on their cars stayed home and the hard core cruisers made the show. Those sound like our kinds of guys anyway!
