(Photos by Jeff Lee) – Most cruise nights are held in a parking lot or some other non-nondescript spot. While that is good for physically parking cars, it doesn’t really add at lot to the coolness of the event. Recently, a new event kicked off in the Nashville, Tennessee area called the Concert Cruise in at Fontanel. This event is held on the grounds of the Fontanel Mansion, which is cool in itself but since it combines cool cars of all shapes and sizes with a weekly concert, it is way better than a typical parking lot cruise in.
The event is free for cruisers and spectators. It is being held every week from now until October on Monday nights from 5pm to 9pm. Combing the concerts and the cruise night is pretty cool in our eyes and it gives rodders and cruisers in the Nashville area something to look forward to on those long Mondays at the office, which is a bonus we all need sometimes! The Fontanel Mansion is a log home formerly owned by country music singer Barbara Mandrell. The place is a monster, measuring out at nearly 30,000 sq/ft. It totally earns the “mansion” moniker. Tours of the property are also available for visitors and cruise night attendees.
Jeff Lee zapped a cool gallery of the first event at Fontanel which happened earlier this week. If you live in Nashville, make sure you get yourself over to the Fontanel Mansion this coming week and take in the action! It’ll be rocking until October!
