Bitchin Roadtrip: Coast to Coast in a $1000 BeaterBy Chad Reynolds Posted 07/9/2010
When our boy Chris (65longroof on the BangShift.com forums) told us about a killer website featuring cars for sale that are all under $1000, we were intrigued. Hell, we like cheap junk, just look at our garages! But when he also told us that a couple guys bought one of these $1000 beasts and drove it from coast to coast, we were honestly aroused. I mean who doesn't dig a road trip where... Read More >

Hot Rod Magazine's Power Tour Day 5 was up and down to say the least. Again, thousands of hot rods lined the grounds of the show, this time at Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga Tennessee. We were greeted by sunny skies and hot humid weather when we arrived, only to be greated by blowing rain and dark clouds a few minutes later. The wind had fun, by blowing EZ Ups all... Read More >

Day Three of Hot Rod Magazine's Power Tour started with us trying to thread the Ridetech Tour Bus through the incredibly tight gates here in Du Quoin Illinois. The grounds are full of hot rods, customs and even a few bitchin vans like Jon Clark's over in the Cherry Bomb booth. Matt Graves at Cherry Bomb promised some fire later, so now we are intrigued... Hot Rod Power Tour: A good hot rodder always carries his own spare.By Chad Reynolds Posted 06/7/2010
Well, we knew it was unlikely we would make it through Hot Rod Magazine's Power Tour 2010 without doing some kind of repair. We were hoping we were done after applying some tape to a piece of trim on the motorhome yesterday morning. We weren't that lucky... Read More >
'65 Pontiac Wagon Trip a SuccessBy Freiburger Posted 01/28/2009
Nine days ago we told you that I'd be making a trip north to Sacramento to pick up a '65 Pontiac wagon that our friend Todd at MSD had scored sight-unseen on eBay. I came home from the trip last night at midnight. As it turns out, the car is a Tempest and not a LeMans as previously presumed, but who cares? It's a creampuff, the sort of totally rust-free California car that you Rust-Belters envy. It is powered by a bone-stock 326 and someone swapped in... Read More >
