Gallery: The 2010 Big Three Swap Meet in San Diego, CaliforniaBy Brian Lohnes Posted 03/1/2010
The Big Three Swap Meet has been going on since 1966 when a couple of car clubs got together to swap and sell parts in an old shopping center parking lot. Since then it has grown to fill the parking lot of Qualcomm (we still call it Jack Murphy) Stadium in San Diego. This is one monster of an event and we've got a few hundred photos to show you the whole scene. Read More >
Photo Gallery: The February Long Beach Swap Meet Car Corral By Scott Liggett Posted 02/18/2010
It takes a lot to get us moving on a weekend morning before the sun begins to rise, but the legendary Long Beach Swap Meet is totally worth the effort. While BangShifters in most other parts of the country wake up to snowbanks and ice, we're lucky enough to throw on a sweatshirt and hit the road to oogle at cool hot rods, muscle cars, and classics for sale at Long Beach. Don't hate us because we're warm. Read More >

In this photo gallery, you'll find more than 150 photos of muscle cars, street machines, trucks, and lowriders for you to enjoy from the first Pomona Swap Meet of 2010. Read More >

The Long Beach Swap Meet is a great local hangout in Southern California, and it was about 70 degrees here last Sunday, so while many of you were freezing your gonads off, we were cruising the deals. We also had a special guest star along for the ride, as Larry "Mr. 6-Second Street Car" Larson was in town and stopped in to visit the scene with us. Read More >

Event Coverage: August 16, 2009 Pomona Swap MeetBy Chad Posted 08/16/2009
The Pomona Swap Meet is known far and wide for being one of the best spots in the country to find killer rust-free iron, hot rod parts, and memorabilia. The August 2009 Pomona Swap Meet was no disappointment and had more cars, parts, and people than any Pomona Swap Meet in recent memory. Walking the car corral is always one of our favorite places to start at Pomona, even though we have no money to spend, and gives a good idea of what is selling and for how much. Read More >
Event Coverage: 46 Photos from the Long Beach Swap Meet, 6/14/2009By Scott Liggett Posted 06/15/2009
The swap meet held in Long Beach, California, by Topping Events is nearly as famous as the one in Pomona. I have to admit that I like this one much better than Pomona. Yes, it's smaller in size, but it much more focused. Read More >
Event Coverage: March 2009 Long Beach Swap MeetBy Chad Posted 03/1/2009
Did you just read the blog item about how we hit the Big 3 swap meet in San Diego on Friday? Don't go thinking that wore us out. Nope, we were ready for action again this morning (Sunday, March 1) to hit our first Long Beach Swap Meet for 2009. We didn't have a dime to spend, but that never stops us from looking and snapping photos. It's still amazing that we see cars that are new to us every single time we go. Read More >
Event Coverage: The 2009 Big 3 Swap Meet in San Diego, 110 PhotosBy Chad Posted 03/1/2009
On Friday, February 27, we took a drive down to San Diego to have a look at the Big 3 Parts Exchange, an annual swap meet in San Diego, California. It's called Big 3 because it is run by three clubs: the Antique Auto Club of America, the Horseless Carriage Club of America, and the Early Ford V8 Club of America. That makes it sound like it's all about a bunch of Model A parts, but it's really much more. We saw plenty of hot rods, but also musclecars, cool trucks, and lots of the 4x4 and sand-dune stuff that's popular in San Diego. Read More >
108 Photos: Today's Pomona Swap MeetBy Freiburger Posted 12/7/2008
Today's Pomona Swap Meet started out a little slowly at 5:00 a.m. under a heavy overcast, but traffic picked up throughout the day. Even so, it was a little down in size overall and for the first time in years I walked all the cars and all the parts rows, and I gathered 108 photos for you in the process. See 'em all here in our gallery. Even with the economy slowing down it did not look like prices had dropped too much, though there were a few standout deals. It's only due to my lack of a paycheck that I didn't come home with a $1,000 Vista Cruiser. Read More >
62 Photos from Today's Long Beach Swap MeetBy Freiburger Posted 11/30/2008
After clearing 10,000 square feet of junk out of our old 7,000-square-foot shop, we had lots of stuff to get rid of. Combine that with our need for food money and it was obvious that we had to go peddle some goods at today's Long Beach Swap Meet. We ended up selling about $1,100 worth of things that we might have otherwise thrown away. Even though the meet was small this Thanksgiving weekend there were still lots of cool cars on hand, and we snapped 60-plus photos of prime SoCal rods that we're sharing with you here. Enjoy from your toasty snowbound home. Read More >
