Kurt Busch’s tough talking stupidity at Dover last weekend has earned him a week off and could potentially end his already shaky driving position with car owner James Finch. As you’ll remember, we showed you video of Busch flapping his gums at Sporting News reporter Bob Pockrass after Pockrass had the unmitigated gaul to ask Busch if his driving habits were altered by the probation that NASCAR had placed him on. Now famously, Busch told Pockrass that the probation was preventing the driver from, “beating the shit” out of the reporter. Here’s the video.

NASCAR, apparently fed up with the jackassery of the Kurt Busch has suspended him for one week and he will not be allowed to compete in the Sprint Cup race at the famed Pocono track this coming weekend. Car owner James Finch is furious and claims that he and Busch are going to have a serious conversation regarding his future with the team. Quoted by ESPN, the colorful Finch told reporter David Newton, “If he’s going to kill himself, I’m not going to be in the airplane with him,” Finch said by phone. “If that’s what he’s planning on doing, I am going to get out.”

Bush’s tirades against the news media have been escalating since last season, culminating in the famous explosion on Dr Jerry Punch at the final race of the season in Florida that went viral on the internet. He lost his ride at Penske partially because of his toxic attitude and this season racing for Finch was supposed to be about him reestablishing himself and “having fun” racing. That’s obviously going very well.

If there is an anti-douche vaccine, someone needs to get a double dose to Kurt.
