We're at that stage of the project where we are sewing up some loose ends and finally getting ready to have the cab floors replaced. We did... Read More >

It's no secret that, here at BangShift.com, we like wagons and getting dirty. Which means it's only natural for us to do a Project Car Spotlight on DirtyWhiteBoy's cool Malibu wagon project. The fact that DWB has been working on the wagon since 2006 when he got it as a cruiser for the wife, and it's now turned into a much more fun hot rod project, should be of no surprise to most of you. But the fact that during this time DWB has done all the work himself, including two paint jobs... Read More >

It currently sports a dutiful 2.3L four banger but SVO power seems to be in the cards and Jeremy has made great strides in the suspension department. It is a... Read More >

Project Car Spotlight: A Full-Tilt, Turbo-4, Road Racing 1989 MustangBy Brian Lohnes Posted 07/14/2010

We hold guys who race stuff in special esteem. Not professional level racers, but guys who race stuff period. Racing takes lots and often gives back little. If you are a regular reader of BangShift.com you know that we really love dirty, hands-on projects. He's been around since the CarJunkieTV days, participated in the epic Red Ball Express run that saw David Freiburger's 1969 Javelin land at our eastern offices, and he's also owned and raced the same 1968 Chevy Malibu since high school. Sweetening the pot a lot is the fact that this thing runs 10's on the mountain at Bandimere Speedway in Colorado and gets cruised on the street. Dan is one of... Read More >

The Camaro under the knife had only 4,500 original miles on it when DMC started filling it full of chrome-moly tube. As wild as his Pro Stock Harley is, this Camaro will be every bit its ragged edge equal. BangShift.com will be following every step of this kick ass build. Read More >

Project Car: Complete Buildup Photos of the First F.A.S.T. Mopar in the 10sBy Brian Lohnes Posted 01/4/2010

Regular readers got to know BangShift.com member Joel Nystrum several weeks ago when we had a video of him powershifting his 30,000-mile original Hemi GTX on an 11-second pass. That was one 1967 Plymouth GTX, and this is another, though this one is a clone. That's because Joel's goal was to build the ultimate Factory Appearing Stock Tire race car. And he did. Joel's car became the first F.A.S.T. racer to run 10s. And that's 10.92 on stock bias-ply tires, with factory appearance down to the casting numbers. Read More >
