That last item showing the sprint car pulling the front end on the dirt track seemingly dozens of times got our juices really flowing to try one of them out for ourselves. We don’t feel that way about every race vehicle though. For instance, we wouldn’t climb out of the electric chair to ride a Nitro Harley drag bike. Those wicked bastards carry the front tire for most of the track, make like 800hp from two cylinders, explode, and occasionally force their riders to make high speed and ungracious dismounts. We’re way good with watching other escaped mental patients people ride them.
Other than the nitro bikes, we have no desire to drive a top fuel drag boat or unlimited hydroplane. Anything that requires you to compete on a racing surface that is constantly variable and never truly stable is just not all that appealing to our terra firma living selves. If there was a gun put to our heads and we were forced to pick from the three, the nitro bikes would still rank last.
The different forms of racing all require unique and specific skill sets that most drivers continually develop over the span of their careers. Few mere mortals can just jump into or onto a racing vehicle and be proficient at it. We want to know which one you don’t even want to try!
