BangShift reader Erik Andersson sent us what could be the weirdest, funniest, most ingenious, and just flat out most quizzical roadside find in the history of this website. Erik was at work, making a customer visit when something caught his eye. That something was a Subaru Justy dually truck thing-a-majob. We have no details other than the photos below. Obviously with the super short wheelbase it would be highly maneuverable for moving a trailer but we’re left wondering, what the hell can this little guy pull?
If it is equipped with the stock Justy engine, we’re talking about a 1L or 1.2L three cylinder engine that made less than 80hp and torque that is probably best measured in inch-pounds. Erik’s take was that the fab work was done well and from what we can see, we agree with him. The welding looks clean, the recessed lights are a nice touch, there’s obviously a ball there to hook a trailer to and judging by the height of the ball, we’re talking about some kind of goose neck trailer! If we had to guess, we’re thinking that the dually rear came out of a little Toyota or something as we’ve seen a few of them with dual tires over the years and the wheels look to be about the correct size. The Subaru Justy was sold as a 4WD or front wheel driver, so this must be a 4WD model to power that rear unless that axle is just along for the ride and the little front tires are providing the umph to move this thing down the road. The exhaust stacks are a nice touch on the cartoon side!
There’s nothing more to say about this other than to direct you to scroll down to see all the photos!
Thanks to Erik for this world exclusive!
