In an effort to lower the productivity and output of the various businesses my friends operate, I like to stick my face in every once in a while to see what’s up, maybe beg off a favor, and just BS about the current state of the world. One of the stops on my normal route it Custom Auto Machine in Weymouth, Massachusetts. These are the guys with the totally kick ass nostalgia nitro funny car and other fast iron. When they aren’t burning nitro, Dana and Jon are building engines and doing machine work. When I visited the shop yesterday, the dudes had a plethora of killer stuff in various stages of build, tear down, or completion.
I’ve got several of these quize items lined up with photos I took at the shop, so this is the first. The cylinder head and block are a matched pair, FYI. This block was getting ready to enter the refurbishment process when I zapped the below photos. The cylinder head had already been cleaned and through the beading machine to get it ready for rebuild. It is a neat little piece!
Check out these photos and then tell us what motor these pieces make the foundation for!
