Sleepers rule in all of their many forms. From the unassuming pieces that can rocket down a drag strip and leave jaws hanging, to cars like the Chevelle wagon featured in this video that look as though they’ve lived in a junkyard since the Ford administration, but in actuality they’re capable of wailing around an autocross course better than anyone could have anticipated. This video was shot at the Goodguys Indy show and the rather shocked announcer you can hear in the background is our own Chad Reynolds.
We have no details on the car, but whatever it has under it for suspension pieces are working! The wagon corners flat and appears very composed on the course. Junkyard look and super car performance is an equation that will be cool until the end of time. This car pulls it off with aplomb. The simple fact that it is a wagon cranks it up even harder on our book!
