Check it out! Following in the footsteps of their killer Hollywood Hot Rods built Giveaway 1932 Ford Roadster Pickup, which will be delivered to its new owner at the upcoming Indianapolis 500, Raybestos is starting the build on their “new” 1964 GTO. Besides all the trick parts, killer brakes, and bitchin fabrication, this GTO is also featuring big boy LSX power, and it can all be yours. When the car debuts on the 2011 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour, you’ll be able to start entering for your chance to win it. The bad news for you is that it will be thoroughly BangShift tested prior to delivery. Ha ha ha. Don’t worry, we’ll just be making sure it’s ready to put a smile on your face.
We’ll be following along with the entire build process thanks to killer video from 426 Media which you can check out at the Raybestos Garage website. Hot Rod Chassis and Design out of Illinois is handling the GTO-R build which includes Raybestos NASCAR brake packages front and rear, full custom tubular chassis, a legal roll cage and Ridetech Triple Adjustable coil overs on all four corners. This car is going to be built as a racecar that is just barely legal so you can drive it on the street, or the track. The goal for the project is 2650 lbs which would make this one hell of a handling and racing rocket. Definitely something worthy of the GTO name.
If you missed the build of the ’32 Ford, you can check out it’s build on the site too. Troy Ladd and the entire Hollywood Hot Rods crew really did a killer job on the pickup and the engineering touches are incredible. As usual, he hit the mark with this one dead on.
