It has been a while since we found a legit death trap on eBay but we’re bringing the high heat on that front today. This is a pro street 1992 Geo Tracker, which is kind of lame and weird on its own. What really pushes this thing over the cliff to crush-itville is the “mild 305″ power plant, SINGLE DRIVELINE BRAKE, the owner’s complete lack of specific knowledge about the vehicle, and the fact that it is a PRO STREET 1992 GEO TRACKER.
There are some truly beautiful quotes in the ad itself. Take this gem, about the braking system (or lack thereof) for example, “ The front axle is a solid one piece with coilover springs and the braking system is a single disc brake on the driveline. The brake stops the Tracker well on the street but if I was going to race this I would put disc brakes on the front and / or add a parachute.” Good thinking there Dale Armstrong. Let’s bolt a ‘chute to the back of this bitch because the 200hp 305 is going to really have us hanging on for dear life at the drag strips that will never let this heap run. We wish he would have included a photo of the driveline brake setup because they has to be one for the ages.
The fuel cell looks to be about three gallons of capacity, but luckily it and the battery were moved to the back of the vehicle for “weight transfer”. The only weight that should be transferring onto this thing would be the weight of a car crusher’s hydraulic ram. Could you really look someone in the eye and hand them the keys to this pile in good faith? We don’t think we could!
Hell, below you will see a rear interior shot of the trucklet. Look at the welds on the “roll cage” They were gobbed masses of boogers, some of which are actually rusting through the white paint! For those of you playing at home, that is VERY BAD. In the one photo of the front axle it appears one of the wheel studs isn’t even pressed in all the way. Egads!
We’re not usually ones to call for the complete and utter destruction of a vehicle, especially one that has been hot rodded, but this little rolling disaster area needs to be squashed…and fast.
