Detroit Autorama 2008!!!

March 7-9 at COBO Center. I make it a point to attend every year and it never disappoints. Great collection of all types of cars and a lot of new products on display. Not to mention the great selection of gearhead memorabilia. Worth every penny. Hope to see some of you there.

We have a bunch from up this way who have made it an annual tradition.If there are enough of us junkies going same day(s)-how about a meet-n-greet?Anyone?Beuller?We are going Friday(we hope),if not probably Sunday.

Big Olds will be upstairs. How about meeting by him at 11am?

I'm not exactly sure where my spot is BUT in the past I have been pretty close to up front. Steve Tracy said he was going to mention to Dick Forton that he would like Big Olds kinda near him since I have so much Advanced Plating chrome work on him. I know I won't be directly in front of the Advanced Plating booth cuz those are all Ridler contenders BUT I shouldn't be that far away.

Stop and say "hi". Medium purple '47 Olds convertible with a black and purple interior..... in case you didn't know what a "Big Olds" is. ;D

I will be there till about noon on Friday ...when the doors open, but then I am heading to the GM Heritage Center with 80 other HAMB folks for a private tour......the HAMB memebers actually rented the place for the afternoon. Anyway I'll be back to Cobo after that till close. cell 734-673-6930

My buddy Stu and myself will be there all day Saturday. We're going to head down on Friday night, and stay overnight at a hotel close to the border, and do the same Saturday night. Would love to hook up with fellow Junkies and hopefully some of the HAMB crowd too.

The HAMB folks are all meeting by the Finkosel in the lower level each day, including Thursday setup, at 2pm. Anyone is more then welcome to join us. Keep in mind Fridays Meet & greet will be kinda lite as most will be at the GM Heritage Center. Last years Saturday Meet & Greet topped 100 people and brought an isle and intersection in the lower level to a standstill. ;D

My first time down ... all I can say is FREAKIN AWESOME!!! If there's any way you can make it to this show, you must do it at least once. I'm spoiled now, I don't want to go to the indoor shows here in Toronto after this. Big thanks to Denise for hosting a fun party back at her place with all the HAMB people on Saturday night.
