In keeping with simple, inexpensive theme of this engine, I'm thinking of replacing the crappy rockers with these from Summit. Anyone have any experience with these. Stamped steel, extra long slot.

Anyone ever use Procomp's rockers? They seem to be making good quality stuff, but I'm not sure.

They claim their aluminum ones are made of T6061 aluminum and good for 750 lbs spring pressure.

The steel roller tipped are supposed to made from heat treated 4340 steel.

Jury is still out on procomp stuff from what I've heard.

I think one of the mags should do an absolute cheapest price per part engine build - and put it on a dyno or in a car and flog it to see what breaks first..... there is SO much cheapo import stuff out there...

How much are the roller tipped comp steel rockers for comparison?

Comps roller tipped are around $160.

I have friends that run Scorpions full roller. They are $250.

I had procomps on my blower motor - SBC - (175 closed 450 open) they worked fine and look great sitting in a bucket on my shelf...

I suppose I should define what I mean by "fine" - okay for a bucks down daily driver.
