close call....I guess I'll stick with my old metal dashboard cars. Or throw away all the cigarette lighters.
That's a bummer about the dash melting. I didn't realize it was that bad. That would annoy the poop out of me.

Hey, who needs a cigarette lighter anyway? It's now a port for charging cell phones.
I tried Comet washing the Caprice today. It kinda worked. The roof lost a lot of it's surface rust. It has a skunk stripe as I am vertically challenged. It does look a little bit better. Paint is still rough feeling. I'll take a clay bar to it tomorrow. See if that helps.

I just noticed this thread has gone over 100,000 hits. Amazing this car, which is so not mainstream muscle, would be that interesting. The Impala's thread is nearly 100,000 as well. I'm flattered you guys like these cars that much.
