8.8 Dif Help

Help

Need to know what should the be the correct preload on used pinon bearings. New bearing is 25"lbs but not sure with the used normally it's lower.

shop manual says 8-14 for used bearings for the 8 and 9" and 25 is the high end of the range for new bearings.

so shoot for 10

I work for the Ford dealer and just checked with the shop forman he said for specs are

17-20 used

25-29 new

Thanks for the Help I know the 8.8 has a higher preload the old style 8" and the 9"
