    Targa Newfoundland...

I've seen it on TV and YouTube several times; has anyone been? It looks like a
whole lot of fun. My brother and I talked about it last year, but since then my
Jetta has been in the shop. I would love to get a different tranny and LSD for
this kind of event. Expensive as hell, but what a blast...

A few of my friends have done it. As expected, it's lots of fun, and very expensive ... figure $15 to $20K. Certainly helps to have some sponsors. Jim Kenzie, the journalist running well in the Mini Cooper S, is a local guy who co-drove a Hyundai Tiburon in Grand-Am Cup (now Koni Challenge) several years back with the team I crewed for.

Another item on my "list of things to do" before I kak.
