3 wire elec fan hook up??? Any suggestions?

Hey, a little guidance would be appreciated here lol, i have an 80 malibu wagon, 355, 272 cam, 650dp, fairly mild motor, t5 trans, and 373 geared rear, not thats thats relevant at all, so i have installed an elec fan from a hyundia tuscon i belive, its a puller style and its mounted and working ...ish, im using a jegs relay kit that turns on at 200 and off at 180, but my quest was out of the fan there are three wires, 2 black with white stripe and one solid black, i assume its a 2 speed fan but i belive its only operating on low speed currently, black is grounded and the striped is my power, so im not looking for the 2 speed operation, im trying to have it so when it turns on it only uses high speed??? any suggestions or input would be great....the easier the better, im fairly retarted when it comes to electrical...thanks

Do you have a digital multimeter? if so, measure the resistance between each of the 3 pairs of wires. Also measure the resistance between the test leads (connect them together, see what the meter reads). Let us know what you find.

Generally if two wires have the same color code, they are connected together. But who know what the Koreans do....

Yah i tried tying the 2 stripped wires together, then to 12v, and succeded in burning my fingers and nothing happened, i had thought the same thing that tied together perhaps it would give me the high speed setting? nope.....

Just an idea, some 2sp fans run both power supply wires together to get high speed, others run them seperate. I'd try feeding them both with some sort of thermal relay from the autozone electrical aisle inline to keep from going too far wrong with the idea. Otherwise you'll need 3 relays to run the high and low supply wires seperately and not concurrently.
