Anyone work for Chrysler/Jeep?

I have an AW4 that we are putting in a Gremlin. The AW4 is a 1996 2wd unit. Can anyone tell me if the TCM(transmission control module) for a 4wd is different than a 2wd unit.

2wd/4wd are the same part, Hollander# 591-03031: 92-96 Cherokee XJ.
The TCM handles shifting & talks to the PCM, X-fer case has no effect on it..
