I bought this car from a preacher on a mission trip in Frakes KY. It was an old drag car with no engine or trans. I planned to drag race it and had a built c4 with trans brake, and a stroked 351W ready to go.... then a friend with a bend towards stock restorations looked carefully under the racing dash at the VIN - and discovered it was an R code. So - the "restoration" process started - so far consisting mostly of gathering parts. This one is going to take a while
I finally found a date code reasonable 428 block, heads, N 9" case. I am going to use stock CJ heads, edelbrock intake, stroker crank, bbc rods, custom pistons, duraspark distributor, and some frankenstein combination to build a functional shaker with a '03 mach1 shaker top (built to the same blue print on top as a 69 only difference is mounting hole locations) C6 trans will be built by accurate transmission in belleville MI to handle around 500hp / 500ftlb 9" rear will have a set of highway gears with an open diff - and a set of fun gears with a traclock.

I have a set of original 14" chrome GT wheels - need new trim rings.
I also have a set of vintage aluminum slots, and a set of big/little weld racing wheels.
This will be done mostly by my wife's cousin Tim at Gondeck body and frame in reed city MI... long way to go before I'm ready.
White seats, door panels, headliner, black carpet, dash, and console. Still looking for several of the rear non fold down seat and side panel parts
